“Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” by Coldplay

on June 19, 2011

I want to finish this school year with a positivie message in a beautiful song that I recommend for this summer. The song I propose is “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” by one of my favourite bands, you know …  Coldplay.

All the songs by Coldplay has a lot of meaning and they are difficult to understand. They make you think and they can have different interpretations. In my opinion, this song makes see the brightest side of life, no matter in which situation you are. You should always be optimistic because life is beautiful and every bad thing or every effort you make (a tear) will be also a beautiful thing (a waterfall).

Here is a copy of the lyrics and a Spanish translation in a pdf file: “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” lyrics and Spanish translation

This is the official video on youtube. The song can be downloaded from itunes.

This is another version of the song with English lyrics on screen.

The next version is a live performance with Spanish subtitles.

I like the song because it seems a new genre of music because it combines electronica with acoustic.

  2. Paola :) says:

i think the song says that no matter that the city will collapse, that the death is near, that all his friends leave him. He will always be happy. 🙂
    I think!
