    Hey teacher, we are Lucia Anguita and Carmen M. Romero (1st Bach. B). We send you this scary story about a little girl who never woke up (you have to listen really carefully to the background sound effects! It gives you the clue about why the girl never woke up). Hope you all like it:

    Hello we’re Daniel García and Eva Gomes and we want to share a scary story:
    A babysitter taking care of two small children called their parents late in the evening to ask for permission to cover up the life-size clown statue in the corner of the family room. “It’s not that I don’t like it,” she said. “It just kind of freaks me out with nobody else here. It’s hard to watch TV.” The parents’ reaction to her request freaked her out even more. “WHAT clown statue???” they asked, frantically. “Dial 911! Call the police!! DO IT NOW!!!”

    RECIPE FOR HALLOWEEN:

    Halloween recipe

    Ingredients:
    * 1 liter chocolate custard
    * 350 gr. whipping cream
    * 1 cup powdered sugar
    * 3 tablespoons butter
    * 200 gr. spreadable white cheese
    * 400-500 gr. Oreo cookie

    Preparing:
    1. First, before starting the recipe, we stop at custard. They are the basis of the dessert and we can use them both home and those who sold refrigerated or powders in the super. Of course, the amount of the final product (custard or custard ready to use) should be of a liter.

    2. That said, we start with dessert. Assemble cold cream until firm. With rods, also beat the cheese to make it a smooth cream. Mix the cream cheese, using the rods a few seconds.

    3. Now, in a separate bowl, assemble the softened butter (in the microwave for a few seconds) with sugar and custard powder until a smooth paste is formed.

    4. Combining the two preparations, custard and cheese until thoroughly mixed.

    5. Chop cookies in a processor until reduced to fine crumbs, with the appearance of the land.

    6. We assemble the cake. To do this we are alternating layers in a crackers mold and cream. We conclude with a thick layer of cookies. We decorated with special treats for Halloween (pumpkins, worms, brains, insects …) and rectangular cookies to resemble tombstones.

  6. Lena says:

    – To start preparing Halloween, you should beging with some terrific Jack cupcakes!

    Jack cupcakes

    You’ll need:

    * Chocolate muffins
    * White buttercream
    * Tube of black icing/or liquid chocolate.

    How to do it:

    * Put some buttercream on the muffins.
    * Carefully draw the eyes, nose and mouth on the cupcakes with the icing or the chocolate.
    * Done!

    – While you’re bringing Jack back to life, you can listen to this if you dare…

    – When you finish cooking, you can be a zombi for a day! Well.. a zombi, Dracula, a brainless ex-prisioner… maybe Slenderman? The exorcist girl? Or a butterfly if you feel like it.
    After the transformation you can meet your friends at the street and trick or treat all night long.
    Be careful with the sweets you eat, you don’t know if they’re some vampire’s toungue! Just kidding! But you’d better be careful with the dentist’s bill!
    – You want a tip? Try to get some strawberry sirup and spread it all over your costume, it’ll feel like real blood!

    A HALLOWEEN POEM

    We recomend this poem.

    ~ HALLOWEEN ~
    By Harry Behn

    Tonight is the night
    When dead leaves fly
    Like witches on switches
    Across the sky,
    When elf and sprite
    Flit through the night
    On a moony sheen.

    Tonight is the night
    When leaves make a sound
    Like a gnome in his home
    Under the ground,
    When spooks and trolls
    Creep out of holes
    Mossy and green.

    Tonight is the night
    When pumpkins stare
    Through sheaves and leaves
    Everywhere,
    When ghouls and ghost
    And goblin host
    Dance round their queen.
    It’s Halloween.

    Poem: A BOO-GRAM GREETING!

    Green cats eyes
    in midnight gloom
    fly with the witch
    on her ragged broom
    Ghosts and shadow people
    evade our sight.
    None may not see what they might.
    We begin our door to door Halloween flight.
    Not knowing our immediate blight
    we bravely approach your door and RING……
    TRICK OR TREAT!! We say with a strong and mighty grin.
    Candy and little toys we hope to gain
    from this daring plan imagined in these little brains.
    BOOOOO!! We are greeted as a scary hand
    extends to our goodie sacks.
    The lights go black, we stagger back!!
    Screams explode, others jump!!
    Dogs howl and unfriendly things give us a bump.
    It’s Halloween! The voice screams as
    we dump out our goodie sacks and run.

    So keep the goodies and
    BOOOOOOOOO! To you!

    A scary story: Don’t Look Out the Window
    When i was ten me and my best mate use to sleepover at each others houses on the weekends. It was my turn to sleepover at hers. In her room she had a bunk bed facing the window and i was sleeping on the top. We were watching tv and from her window you can see a row of houses and a row of trees. It was quite dark and for some reason i just looked out of the window and stared at the nearest tree, felt like someone was watching me. All of a sudden I saw this long black leg stick out from the tree and disappear!! I told my mate and when she looked nothing was there. It gave me chills whenever we played near them trees.

  14. Triana Delgado and Angela Ballesteros says:

    Hi teacher! That work is made by Triana Delgado and Angela Ballesteros.

    Halloween traditions and symbols.

    Pumpkin: it isn’t itself a primitive symbol. Today, on Halloween night, american children go to the house with a candle inside the pumpkin (the pumkin is empty).
    Trick or treat: the children knock the door and they do a treat: they won’t do some tricks if the person who is in the house do them sweets.
    Sweets: this tradition began in Europe in IX century, when christians went of village in village to ask for soul cakes.
    The night of Witches: the leyend says the witches did two meetings (April 30 and October 31). The witches shared some spells and black wisdom.
    Black cats: it says the black cat body is a costume witch.

    Here, I put a funny poem:

    The Night of the Living Dead

    On all hallows eve when the sun has set
    The ghosts and ghouls come out to play
    With dripping fangs and bloody claws
    They prowl the street in search of prey
    And when to my door the fiends appear
    I tell the “Trick or Treaters” to go away.

    There are differents customs at the witches’ nigth that come from many years ago.

    PUMPKIN:

    This tradition is because a long time ago, a man called Jack died. When he was alive,
    he was a bad person and that for this that he couldn’t pass the heaven’s door or the
    hell’s doors. He was convicted ton wander in the world looking for an entrance to one
    of the two sites with the only help of a pumpkin with a candle inside.

    COSTUMES:

    In the 31th night, the door of the dead’s world is open, so the humans have to disguise
    to not be recognized by them.

    SWEETS:

    Each 2 of November, christians went to the countries asked to some sweet bread. If
    people gave them a lot of sweet bread, the christians prayed for the souls of their beloved.

    TRICK OR TREAT:

    In England there was an attack that was truncated by Guy Fawkes.
    This resulted in a burlesque party. At this party, they celebrated the date of discovery
    of betrayal visiting Catholic homes and requiring to their residents beer and cakes.
    The threat, soon became popular: “Trick or Treat”.

    BLACK CAT:

      During the night of October 31, it is said that if a black cat crosses in front of you, you
    will have bad luck because a black cat was a costume that witches used to walking
    the streets.

    Halloween is also called the witches’ night because it was the day in that witches did more spells.

  20. José Antonio Cárdenas Orta and Manuel Martín Romero says:

    We have chosen the options: a scary story (in a video), a tradition in Halloween and a tip to celebrate it.

    First, a video where a story about an abandonated building is told: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHQxj70j33w

    Now, an Irish legend of why we use pumpkins as decoration in Halloween:

    There was an Irish man (his name was Jack) who one day died. During his life he was so bad person that he could not come into neither the heaven nor the hell. So his soul started to go around the world, looking for a door to come into the heaven or hell. His soul used a candle inside a pumpkin to iluminate the roads.

    To finish, a tip to celebrate Halloween:

    You can meet your friends one night. All this group will go to the home of some of you this night and all the people have to wear a costume in common. Then, when you are together in a house, you can watch a scary film, for example.
